tercera edición los días 6-7 de mayo, y ahí estaremos para ver como las maquinas Clase III ya han entrado a este gran mercado bajo la significativa categorización, pos que así nomas, de “clase mejicana”. Es que como la legislación mexicana camina como Chencha y al ritmo de La Cucaracha, los operadores han dicho: “¡Si se puede!”

Mientras tanto, Monografie S.A., se apresta a usar sus 18 años

de experiencia al servicio del sector para volver a la carga con Sagse Gaming Panamá 2010, los días 23 y 24 de junio, donde tiene el respaldo total del gobierno y los operadores de la región.

Presidente Lula da luz verde a los bingos

En una entrevista publicada por el Diario de São Paulo a inicios del mes pasado, el presidente de Brasil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, declaró que se muestra abiertamente a favor de la legalización de los bingos. Lula cerró los bingos en 2004.

Lula, dijo: “Si usted quiere legalizar tiene que crear los mecanismos para evitar que los bingos se transformen en puntos de lavado de dinero e incentivos de cosas ilícitas. Se debe pensar en dar la responsabilidad a la Caja Económica Federal para controlar los bingos. Vamos a ver cómo vota el congreso”.

With luck, we’ll travel to Mexico City for ELA 2010’s third edition on 6-7 May, and see how this exciting market is developing with Class III machines, although as Mexican gaming legislation is as clear as the Icelandic sky and alive as a Dodo, being Mexicans, they call their slots, “Clase mejicana, wey”. As it is habitual in Latin America, if it doesn’t move, shake it until it does!

In a more sedate and regulated climate, Monografie S.A., is

set to use its 18 years expertise serving the gaming industry, and present Sagse Gaming Panama 2010 on June 23-24. The firm that organizes Sagse Buenos Aires, the supreme regional show, has secured the full support of Panama government, regulators, and operators from the region for this event.

President Lula Okays Bingos in Brazil

In an interview published by Diario de Sao Paolo, Brazil’s

president Luiz Lula da Silva, said openly that he was in favour of approving bingo legislation, now being debated in Congress. Lula closed the bingos in the country in 2004.

Lula said: “If you want to legalize, you have to create the

proper mechanism to stop bingos becoming money laundering centres and places of illegal dealings. We should give the Federal Economic Bank (Caija), the responsibility of controlling bingos. Let’s see how Congress votes on the matter”.
