21.0 PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED PERSONS CARD
21.1 This card is for Professionally Qualified Persons who are members of professional bodies recognised by CSCS. Such persons have the responsibility to act or take decisions independently in accordance with their professional obligations and the aims of the scheme. A list of the bodies recognised by CSCS is at
www.cscs.uk.com/pqp.
21.2 In order to apply for the card, the applicant must:
• be a current member of an approved professional body at an eligible competence- assessed grade. (Listed on the CSCS website at
www.cscs.uk.com/pqp)
• pass the ConstructionSkills Managerial and Professional (MAP) Health and Safety test
• have up to date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records for the last two years relevant to the area of work in which they currently practice
• the above will be re-verified on renewal of the CSCS PQP card every five years.
21.3 The application must also be verified by a current member of the applicant’s professional body, whose membership is at the same or higher level. The verifier confirms:
• they have seen evidence of the applicant’s current membership
• the applicant has relevant and up to date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records appropriate of the area of work in which they practice.
21.4 The approval of additional professional bodies is subject to the agreement of Construction Skills Certification Scheme Limited.
21.5 A white/yellow card will be issued.
22.0 CONSTRUCTION SITE VISITOR CARD
22.1 This card is for those who frequently visit construction sites, whose occupations are not covered by other CSCS cards and who have met current CSCS health and safety requirements.
22.2 A yellow Construction Site Visitor card is issued. 22.3 This card is valid for five years.
22.4 The card is renewable upon application, providing CSCS health and safety requirements are met.
