Introduction
In the past, the Conservatives have suffered from a perception among voters that the party was exclusively for wealthy, middle-aged white people, wedded to get-rich-quick capitalism, prejudiced against minorities, and indifferent to the poor.
In 2005 David Cameron became the Conservative Party leader and promised change. Cameron billed himself as the fresh, unlined face of a new and modern Tory Party.
But already, before Cameron’s campaign has kicked off in earnest, there appear to be several ‘false promises’ being made. And while some of the points in this book are perhaps arguable, Cameron does not exactly ‘stick to’ his word: there are clear u-turns and even some outright fibbing.
This eBook takes a tongue in cheek look at the promises vs. the reality... or the truths behind the lies.
