“My name is Pamela Quevedo and I’m a bit of an odd bird. I like brightly colored hair and the occasional tattoo. I discovered tatting about 5 years ago. I had found myself unemployed with a new baby, so me and my

husband decided that I would stay home. When I got bored with knitting and crochet, I taught myself to needle tat and began an incredible journey that took me from books marks and doilies to masks and ankle corsets and a vast array of pieces in between.

I was approached by someone to join the Steampunk team at its inception. At first I wasn’t sure that my work fit in at all. I had always been drawn to the Victorian aesthetic and loved the anachronistic nature of the movement, but I was just a lace maker after all. I was assured that I would fit right in and I have had the great fortune to meet and work with some amazing artists since then.
