Argo International appoints Nick Derrick as class underwriter. He arrives from Chubb Insurance where he spent 15 years most recently international cargo manager. He is currently the deputy chairman of the Joint Cargo Committee.

Clive Buesnel joins Jubilee Managing Agency as group chief executive officer. He was one of the founding team of Xchanging and was MD for the insurance sector operations (XIS and XCS) and in 2006 formed Xchanging Broking Services (XBS). Current CEO Andreas Loucaides becomes group development director.

Sterling Insurance appoints Jane Flaherty as a senior high net worth underwriter. She was previously with Hiscox for eight years.

Simon Curtis joins Healix as a business development director. He previously worked in PMI and health trust markets for Jardine Lloyd Thompson and before that for HSBC Actuaries & Consultants. Mark Cassidy is appointed as medical underwriting director. His career began as a Lloyd’s broker, before moving into medical underwriting for nearly 20 years, most recently with Brit Insurance.

appointments to its London-based general aviation team. Specialist aviation broker Jeremy Chase joins from Marsh with over 30 years’ experience.

Client manager Shannon Christie joins from Willis with over 20 years’ experience.

Client manager Matthew Morris joins from Amlin with over thirty years’ experience.

Client manager Simon Brunsdon handling Americas- based business previously worked at Sturge, Gallaghers and Marsh. Aviation broker James Whiter joins from HSBC where he worked for six years.

Client manager and Spanish national Lucia Cebrian began her career as a graduate trainee and joins from its marine team.

Claire Blaymires becomes operations director at Higos Insurance Services, having joined in 1997. She was previously facilities director and company secretary, responsibilities she retains alongside her new role.

Quotezone as e-business executive. He has a BSC Hons. degree in interactive multimedia and design and a diploma in industrial studies, and joins from Sheridan Group where he held a similar position.

Brit Insurance appoints Vivek Banga as UK distribution leader. He joins from NIG, where he was latterly head of business development. Prior to this, he was head of e-commerce distribution with commercial brokers, and spent two years at Churchill Insurance as head of offshore business processing. Before that he was at Ernst & Young and Eagle Star.

Dawn Dillaway is appointed head of commercial underwriting. With 20 years’ underwriting experience, she was previously with RSA and Arista Insurance, most recently as regional underwriting manager.

Jordan O’Connor joins as talent and resourcing manager. She has ten years’ experience and joins from HR consultancy Chiumento, where she was principal consultant and prior to this was an assessment analyst at BP.
