ACE European Group appoints Imran Malhi as account engineer for its property business. He joins from Marsh Risk Consulting where he was a senior consultant. He was previously a consultant engineer with FM Global, and before entering insurance worked with Rolls-Royce, Matsushita Electric Works and Gaz de France. Chris Price joins as regional director of travel insurance for the EMEA region. He joins from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was head of travel and animal health insurance, working with Direct Line and Churchill and partnership brands.

ARAG UK appoints James Morgan who joins as ATE assistant underwriter from Alico UK. Lindsey Morgan’s initial role will be to redevelop and launch the new website. She joins from Ericsson with seven years’ communications experience. Tom Moreton joins as a trainee accountant from AXA. Carrie-Anne Woods joins as senior claims handler from DAS. Paul Mather joins as an underwriter from RSA Group and brings nine years’ experience in medical insurance and home insurance.

Chubb

Chubb Insurance Europe appoints Scott Heeley to its international cargo operation. He joined five years ago and previously worked as a UK retail cargo underwriter.

Lancashire

Len Messenger joins

Lancashire Holdings as chairman of energy for operating subsidiary Lancashire Insurance. He was previously at Zurich Global Energy where he worked for 17 years, and in his 35 years’ underwriting experience in the London market served as chairman of the joint rig and associated business committee; the energy and offshore committee; and on the executive committee of the IUMI.

QBE European Operations appoints Steve Dickie as motor fleet portfolio manager. He previously held senior positions with Dominion Insurance and Lloyd’s broker RL Davison. Latterly, he was motor fleet underwriter at HSBC Insurance UK.

Charles Walker as divisional director, non marine and energy. In 29 years’ experience in upstream energy insurance, in the past 15 years he worked for UIB and KM Dastur.

John Holman & Sons appoints Angela Tjay Mazuri as managing director. She was previously with R K Carvill & Co where she was a main board director from 2006.

Sharon Plowright takes up the

role of member services manager. Her previous customer service and sales background includes Sky TV, Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank, Westminster City Council and Birmingham City Council.

AXA Insurance appoints David Vincent as head of travel underwriting for the personal lines intermediated business. He was previously at RBS Insurance for nine years.

Louis Scott joins Torus Insurance as power & utilities underwriter from Aon Power where he was team leader for network business. He has over 20 years’ experience in the energy property sector, beginning at Alexander Howden and continuing at Aon Limited following the merger.

Hobson as a senior manager for panel development. He joins from HSBC Insurance where he was a motor plan underwriter.

Hiscox

Hiscox has appointed Graeme King as underwriter - international (technology, media and telecoms). His 20 years’ technology sector experience includes Zurich Insurance where he handled PI claims and prior to that he spent ten years in London as a lawyer specialising in technology and intellectual property dispute resolution. He has also worked as an IT consultant.

ONE Group

Linda Norman joins ONE Group as group client relationship manager. She has 25 years’ underwriting, sales and claims experience, including 13 years as MD at Claims International.
