Rose Cunitz, the loving wife of the late Murray Cunitz of Rockville Centre and Lake Success, NY, died peacefully after a short illness near her home in LakeWorth, FL, March 27, 2010 at age 96. She was born January 16, 1914 in Babylon, NY. She was a graduate of NewYork University, and a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her sister Sue Ackerman of Fort Lauderdale, FL, her sons Jesse Robert Cunitz of Annapolis, MD and Jonathan Cunitz of Westport, CT; five grandchildren; other family and many friends, both new and old. Rose guided, cared for, and loved her family and friends with remarkable wisdom, grace and balance. Darrell Fitzpatrick Smith was born September 28, 1964 in Orlando, Florida. Darrell led a full life. Burial will follow at Merriman Cemetery in Ranger. Wade Beall was born June 14, 1922, in Ritchie, Maryland, to John Emory Beall and Pearl (Owens) Beall. He grew up on the family farm as proud brother to 10 siblings Erma, Bessie, Mary, Alta, Louise, June, Calvin, Roy, Willard, and Linwood. He attended the Ritchie School, and graduated from Marlboro High School in 1939. Wade served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Reuben James and was honorably discharged in 1946. He returned to farming after the war. Wade was an excellent athlete and played baseball and soccer in school and as a semi-pro soccer player for the Prince Georges County, Maryland team during the 1950s. Wade began his law enforcement career with the

Prince Georges County, Maryland Police Depart- ment in 1951, eventually attaining the rank of corporal. He then moved on to US Marshalls Service as a Deputy US Marshall in 1955. The Marshalls Service played a large role in the coun- try’s historical events during Wade’s time with the agency. Two of his many assignments included protecting Robert Kennedy and Watergate trial witnesses. He transferred to Houston in 1968 and retired in 1974. Wade met Frances Harris (Jones) Beall in 1968 and they were married in 1969. The couple lived in Houston, Columbus, Stephenville, Eastland, and Abilene during their journey together. Wade and Frances were members of the Church of Christ, they worked at the Stephenville Foster Home, Tarlton University (bible studies), started and supervised the Christian Service Center in Eastland, and Wade provided bible studies for residents in the Eastland Jail for a total of 16 years of community service. Literally, he was known to give the shirt off his back or the shoes off his feet to others. Wade loved to tell stories, meet new people, and be a kind and gentle man to others, despite his physical trials later in life. His favorite bible verse was Hebrews 11: 1 “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Wade loved reading bible stories of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and many others who went before us. His survivors include his wife of over 40 years Frances Beall; and three brothers Roy Beall, Willard Beall, and Linwood Beall. Wade’s children include three sons; and one daughter Tom Jones, Verna Hoefar and her husband Larry, Weldon Jones and his wife Barbara, also Stanley Beall and his wife Thelma. He was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Extended family and loved ones in the area include Katie Baker and Rick Upfold of Abilene Texas.
