Building, Maintenance, Refurbishments & Grounds
HiZone Voted Top by Feltham Community College
B
ushboard Washroom Systems’ HiZone cubicle range has recently
been specified for a major refurbishment at Feltham Community
College. FCC is a specialist sports college that offers a wide range of
courses to around 1200 students aged 11-18.
The school’s “toilet” committee of pupils requested individual
cubicles and no urinals for their new washrooms making HiZone the
perfect choice because it is a floor to ceiling cubicle range offering
privacy.
Specifying Building Surveyor, Chris Camps of DHP commented
“The school chose HiZone because it offered privacy within the
cubicles and meets the ‘toilets in schools’ guidance published by
the Department for Education and Skills”.
He added, “We specified impact and water resistant solid grade
laminate which is a very durable material and ideal for standing up to
the wear and tear of busy colleges and secondary schools”
DHP are a medium sized practice specialising in the education and
commercial sectors and are looking to specify HiZone on future projects.
Chris Camps added, “Bushboard offers a great range of colours to
choose from and the literature is really clear and well presented”.
John Dixon of Feltham commented “The school are really pleased
with the final installation”. The HiZone range is available with stainless
steel washtrough or vanity units and is just one of Bushboard’s
exciting range of cubicles designed specifically for the education sector.

Synthetic turf direct
W
orn existing synthetic pitches and old neglected sport and
play areas are becoming a thing of the past for many
educational establishments. The introduction of artificial sports
surfaces and synthetic grasses has now been made much easier by
being available directly from AstroSport Ltd of Nottingham –
www.astrosport.co.uk.
Renowned for their quality sports surface installations, initially
provided through main contractors, AstroSport is now also offering
supply and installation directly to the end user. With over 25 years’
experience in the sports industry, the company can advise on the
most appropriate type of surface required for particular sporting
requirements and to suit all performance levels and budgets.
Its portfolio includes all types of new and resurfacing projects,
including line marking and associated ancillary works associated
with any project. Other services they offer include pitch and court
painted line marking, permanent in laid line marking, court
painting and most types of repairs.
AstroSport supply and install a full range of synthetic sports
surfaces from 3rd generation long pile sand and rubber filled
synthetic grass to Wilton Woven and Needle Punch artificial grass.
Said Carl Whelan, Director of AstroSport Ltd:
“We have installed many sports surfaces in schools,
and find that often what is required is not only a
quality product but a personal service. By being
available directly to LEAs, head teachers and
bursars we believe the educational establishment
can save time and expense on smaller projects.
Whilst working alongside main contractors is still
appropriate for some projects, we would
encourage clients to come direct to us for projects
that are primarily surfacing only.”
