DOMESTIC TRAVEL
Leading the way
If you mean business, then Leeds is a great place to conduct it. CLAIRE MAHONEY finds out what
Leeds could offer business travellers to the area, and PAs booking services in the city
The regional capital of Yorkshire and Humber is in
fact the largest business and financial centre outside of
London and is the country’s top legal centre next to the
capital. Apart from its impressive business infrastructure
and heritage it was recently voted the UK’s favourite city
by Conde Nast Traveller. This is probably no surprise con-
sidering the phenomenal amount of investment there has
been in the city over the past ten years. So far, £480m has
already been ploughed into regeneration and a further
£500 million is still due to be invested. The result is a stun-
ning mix of traditional and contemporary architecture,
cosmopolitan-style plazas and walkways, plenty of green
space to enjoy and some of the best shopping in the UK.
