A taste of Poland
THE Polish Association Aberdeen
offered visitors a taste of Poland
from their stall at an international
fun day in the city’s Duthie Park.
Guests sampled farm bread with
dripping and sour cucumber, pork
kabanos and Wiesjska sausage.
The sweets – among them
Lajkonik pretzels, carrot and
banana fresh juice kubus and
Prince Polo chocolate bars –
were in big demand, as was the
face-painting stall.

ECONOMICS graduate Kasia
Bylinska has become Scotland’s
first ever Polish student president.
Kasia, who graduated with a BA
from Napier University, Edinburgh,
originally came to Scotland for a
holiday – but liked it so much she
decided to stay and transferred her
studies from Poland to Scotland.
On being voted into the post she
said: “I am very proud of my
nation and ecstatic because now
I can do something for the
students at Napier University.”
