Families Honored During Duke’s Parents/Family Weekend
Our first opponents of the year, Pfeiffer and Findlay, visited Cam- October 24th November 3rd
eron for a pair of exhibition game matchups. Eight Blue Devils
scored in double figures as we cruised to victory over Pfeiffer on
Duke’s Parents/Family Weekend. 10 days later, defending Divi-

sion II national champs Findlay visited Cameron and we came
away with an 84-48 win. Our leading scorer in the exhibition
games was Kyle Singler, who netted 41 points total.

“Parents’ Weekend is a time for us to celebrate family. What we’ve tried to do in
our basketball program is develop a family-type atmosphere. I think Duke is that
kind of school so it fits right in. It’s a time for us to say thank you to those parents.
One, thank you for trusting us in being able to teach your son. We also like the
values that our guys bring in from their families. I think that’s one of the coolest
parts of it. So, we just want to say thank you to the players’ families and the
parents of our students in the stands.”
