MOTHERWELL COLLEGE
RENSON were invited by both Miller Construction and consultant specialist Faber Maunsell to create
a completely new and innovative solution to meet both a specific airflow requirement coupled to a
demanding acoustic specification. These engineering requirements had then to be integrated into a largely
predetermined façade design.
After exhaustive discussion, creative thinking and then testing, RENSON introduced the “Motherwell
System“. This solution combines the latest advanced products from RENSON such as thermally enhanced
louvres, insulated aluminium trays and high level motorised controllable acoustic ventilation. This is then
integrated within the confines of the façade design.
This solution has been welcomed by all concerned as a ground breaking product that can be used for many
future applications.
