Schools out for
St. Clements Squeeze
B
arr Soft Drinks has developed a new range
of products under the St Clements Squeeze
brand to meet the needs of both the Schools
Food Trust's soft drinks guidelines for school’s
and school pupils desire for great tasting
refreshment during the school day.
The Schools Food Trust want drinks provided in
schools to be additive free, contain no flavourings,
colourings, sweeteners, fruit extracts or preservatives
(other than those permitted under existing EU
regulation).
St Clements Squeeze will be launched in August at
the start of the new school term in a 330ml can the
largest selling and preferred pack format for
teenagers.
A key benefit for school’s is that can’s are 100%
recyclable. With around 50% of all cans currently
being recycled it is the most recycled soft drinks pack
format.
The 330ml can will therefore be a great fit for
schools own environmental education and recycling
initiatives.
Squeeze will contain 50% Juice and 50%
carbonated water.
Adrian Troy Barrs Head of Marketing said: ‘We are
really excited about the growth potential for St
Clements Squeeze. Squeeze will count as 1 of the
recommended 5 a day, has no added sugar, artificial
sweeteners, colours, flavourings or preservatives. So
far we have had a fantastic response when
presenting the product to LEA’s and Local Council’s’.
Three variants have been developed Apple, Orange
and Citrus and with an RRSP of 59p the range will
deliver excellent value for money to school pupils.
It is anticipated that Squeeze could also be made
available in C&C and Wholesalers in Scotland from ‘contemporary’ Scottish brand supported by
