Ellison machines and dies can
increase the effectiveness of
each lesson
B
y having products that increase child-centred
activity in a lesson, learning becomes faster
and more in-depth.
In a lesson revolving around the body’s internal
organs, it is possible to have a skeleton at the front of
the class and for a child to come out and place an
organ where he/she thinks is the correct place. The
same can be done via an interactive whiteboard. But
consider an alternative in which each group of four
children is given a skeleton. They are then invited to
work together putting the organs in the right place.
Until now the problem with such a lesson has
always been the cost – plastic skeletons are expensive
and could be damaged if moved around the class,
while interactive white boards can’t allow children to
engage physically with the skeleton.
To make this work, all we have to do is make a
skeleton out of a die with a single pass of a die
cutter, using any material that the teacher wants
(cardboard, wood, board, even fabric if required!)
Because these cut out dies can be created within
seconds, as many children as the teacher require can
have their own skeleton.
The Prestige Pro
The Prestige Pro cutting system from Ellison is the
perfect partner to help with many classroom tasks.
This machine empowers teachers to produce
professional teaching projects which can be both
colourful and tactile. Many different materials can be
cut on the machine such as rubber, sponge, vinyl,
leather, foam and more.
Evidence from teachers suggests that using the
Prestige Pro machine makes teaching more
interesting, more creative and more fun. They also tell
us how much time and money they save while at the
same time inspiring students is made easier. The
sturdy design and lifetime guarantee along with
virtually maintenance free operation offers many years
of quality and reliable trouble free use.
The RollModel
The RollModel from Ellison is considered by many
teachers to be the best hand operated roller die
cutting machine available. Its 30cm, extra wide,
opening easily accommodates all sizes of Ellison dies
available. Made with an easy to use ergonomic handle
the RollModel ensures you have perfectly cut
classroom letters, numbers and shapes every time.
Designed with an innovative industrial strength
cutting tray that requires virtually no maintenance the
heavy duty RollModel will cut any product that can be
cut by scissors. This enables teachers to continually
make professional cross-curricular learning aids,
letters, numbers, 3-D shapes – again and again
and again.
Ellison has been the leader in die-
cutting innovation and related product
development for over 30 years,
manufacturing die-cutting machines
and hundreds of die designs.
