Herbal Conference to
Welcome Susun Weed
T
he fifth annual Southeast Women’s
Herbal Conference, October 2-4,
takes place in scenic Black Mountain,
North Carolina and welcomes special
guest, author and internationally
renowned herbalist, Susun Weed.
“Susun Weed is an extraordinary teacher
with a joyous spirit, a powerful presence, and an
encyclopedic knowledge of herbs and health,” says conference Director Corinna
Wood. “She is the voice of the Wise Woman Tradition of simple living, earth-based
healing and local plants.”
The conference, which has grown during the last five years to include 400 to
500 participants, offers women an opportunity to learn, connect, and deepen into
the Wise Woman Tradition through herbal education, nourishing foods, empower-
ment and community.
Wood notes that the annual conference receives rave reviews. “Participants
tell us the week is revitalizing, nourishing and nurturing—that it has become the
highlight of their year.”
Cost for the conference is $240 until August 20 and $275 thereafter, with addition-
al costs for meals, lodging and intensives. The conference has applied for continu-
ing education credits for nurses. For more information or to register, call toll-free,
