Sealing solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry SKF Economos sealing solutions supply products which are used in many areas of applications: onshore, offshore and subsea. Our sealing solutions are fitted and integra- ted into pipeline valves, riser connectors, wellheads & trees as well as downhole tools.
Range of materials Our sealing materials have been develo- ped in a wide range of standard and non standard materials. They include elastomers (NBR, HNBR, FKM, FFKM), thermoplastic elastomers (Polyurethanes) and thermo- plastics (PA, POM, PTFE, PEEK). Depending on the application, different compounds (e.g. low temperature elastomers, as well as virgin or filled PTFE or PEEK) are available.
Research and Development At our headquarters, in Judenburg, Austria, we continuously strive to improve existing compounds and we develop and test new materials to meet the demands on the seals: e.g. the effects of explosive decom- pression, durability, improved resistance and friction properties.
