ACOUSTICS PROBLEMS IN SCHOOLS ?
All new school buildings are now subject to detailed design checks and on site inspections
by Building Control officers following the revision of Part E of the Building Regulations.
Under Building Bulletin BB93 , sound absorption is
required to reduced the reverberation time to within
specified levels in:
• Classrooms
• Music practice rooms
• Lecture theatres
• Science and technology laboratories
• Assembly and sports halls
• Dining areas
Based on the development of its specialist range of acoustic products, Soundsorba can offer supporting technical advice,
including detailed acoustic calculations and product recommendations to assist those involved in the design and
construction of schools.
