Tony Cai is the Dorothy Silberberg Professor of
Statistics at the Wharton School of the University
of Pennsylvania. He is the recipient of the 2008
COPSS Presidents’ Award; a Fellow of the IMS;
and an associate editor for The Annals of Statistics,
Journal of the American Statistical Association,
Statistica Sinica, and Statistics Surveys. Cai earned his
PhD from Cornell University in 1996. His research
interests include high-dimensional inference,
