Friends saw his photographs and
startedaskinghimtoshootportraitsand

them it was all a total fluke but they
wouldn’tlisten.
ThenIgotmyfirstbigbreakwhenmy
neighbourintroducedmetoafriendof
hiswhodidsomemodelling.Theguy
wantedanewportfolioandhepaidme
£50 to do the photography. I had
warned him that I only really took
picturesofbuildingsandlandscapes,
buthewantedmetodoitanyway.Itook
himtoalocationandusedexactlythe
same techniques as I would to
photographthelocationitself–onlythis

timeIjustplonkedhiminthemiddleof
it.
