In the heart of the Kings Cross
regeneration area, the Lighthouse More derelict Buildings
Building dates back to 1875 and its eerie
tower is something of an enigma.
Some say it dates from the time when
oysters were popular and houses that
sold them were marked with a lighthouse.
Others claim it's an old helter skelter
ride. Either way, there's yet more mystery
behind this building's shabby facade.
For some years it was home to a group of

squatters, who one day happened upon
Public baths from 1931 until 1997
when they were shut down due to
an underground room which led to a
health and safety issues.
