Spotted on the street
Cool stuff we've seen out and about...
Piccadilly Circus
If you've been to Piccadilly Circus
recently you may have spotted this
'Help Me' ad, which alternates with
another shot asking 'Are you in?'
This cryptic campaign is an ad for
The Lost Ring (thelostring.com), a cult
new alternate reality game which
has players hunting for clues on the
net and in real life to solve a puzzle
revolving around a “forgotten"
mystery Olympic sport. Players will
eventually have to play the sport
to win what the game's sponsors
– McDonald’s and the Olympics –
say will be a 'real world pay off'.
Bethnal Green
When in the East End, watch out for flyposters
by award-winning artist Rosie Emerson
(rosieemerson.co.uk), who recycles iconic fashion
images and fuses them with visceral illustrations.
Rosie's works are also currently being exhibited
at the Dragana Perisic boutique in Cheshire Street,
E1, until September.
Shoreditch
Look up as you wander along Great Eastern Street in
Shoreditch and you may see these graffiti-d tube trains
on top of a building. They're part of Village Underground
(villageunderground.co.uk), a socially driven, charitable
and environmentally conscious project, which has seen
old tube trains converted into creative studios.
