The course is for those who have undergone some training or worked

an intense course of British conservatoire training in classics. As such,
it is based on a contemporary investigation into Shakespeare. In addition
it includes other elements: Jacobean and Restoration.

Work is conducted in small groups. All classes are compulsory. It is a
typical British Conservatoire programme.
There will be opportunities to attend West End productions and experience
the variety that London theatre has to offer. There will be a visit to Stratford
upon Avon, to see the work of the Royal Shakespeare Company first-hand.
You will also be encouraged to take part in the many social activities
which are an integral part of being a student at LAMDA.
The practical class work includes:
Acting & Improvisation Voice & Verse Speaking
Textual Interpretation & Analysis Movement

performances. Students eligible to work in the USA and Canada are able
to join students from other courses to present duologues at a showcase
in New York and Los Angeles– on completion of the course.
