Explorer Ridge

For spring/summer 2009, Berghaus has updated and
improved its iconic Explorer boot range. The renowned
Explorer “straight from the box” comfort remains, and
Explorer Light
has been enhanced with key developments.
Designed to provide outstanding durability the new
2/3 season Explorer Ridge (SRP: £100) is designed to
deliver in the most challenging environments with
excellent cushioning.
There's also the Explorer Trek (SRP: £90), a classic fell
walking boot, a Gore-Tex lined suede boot with EHS
Explorer Trek
(Ergonomic Holding System) to keep the foot in place.
The Explorer Light (SRP: £85) is the lightest boot in the
Explorer collection, offering a high level of comfort in
warmer climates.
All Explorer styles are available for both men and
women and will be available in stores across the country from March 2009.

Keen launches Trailhead packs
For Spring 2009, KEEN present their inaugural collection of
Trailhead technical transport. In the spirit of the brand’s signature
Newport sandal, the Newport Pack (£69.99)
offers 32l of versatile hybrid functionality
on- or off-trail. Constructed in rugged
ripstop polyester, the Newport offers stacks
of space for trail essentials with a wealth of
handy compartments and even a padded laptop sleeve. The
large main compartment incorporates a hydration bladder
sleeve with hose slot and additional side water bottle pockets.
The Venice (£59.99) is specifically engineered for the female
form with a 10l capacity. Progressively styled in hardwearing super-light polyester
ripstop, the Venice features two-way zippers, zippered interior pockets and water
bottle slots, plus an interior hydration bladder with easy-access hose slot.
Both packs also feature direct mold protective, repurposed rubber bottoms, fully
recycled aluminum components and interior liners constructed from 100%
recycled polyester.

Hanwag launches Dynamic XCR
The Dynamic XCR low cut boot lives up to its name, offering
an extremely low weight of only 850g per pair, attractive
styling and a durable construction with a combination
of Mycro-Suede and Micro-Mesh upper.
Convenience and comfort are the
foundations of this boot. It is machine
washable to 30 degrees and thanks to the
“pinched” construction the boots can be easily
resoled. The Gore-Tex lining combined with the Micro-mesh panels on the uppers
provides waterproof breathability for ultimate comfort.
The lightweight sole offers extra shock absorption in the heel with full length
cushioning and has a self-cleaning rubber tread.
The Dynamic XCR is available in both men and women’s fit.
