Bamboo Arts Hosts Music and Art Festival
T
he community is invited to an afternoon of art,
music and laughter in the great outdoors. On
Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m., Bamboo Arts
Center will host a Music and Art Festival featuring
musicians Cathy Bolton and Michael Birchfield. The
$15 entrance fee includes a day’s worth of cultural
activity. Visitors will enjoy artwork by local artists,
psychic readings and a variety of musical talents.

bring impressive credentials to the festival. Gram-
my-nominated recording artist Cathy Bolton travels
North America and Europe sharing her gift of song. She has been featured on Wind-
ham Hill Records and has recorded seven CDs. “Cathy tours with Conversations
with God author, Neale Donald Walsch. We hosted a concert for her last spring. It
was such a wonderful experience, we want to do it again,” says Saundra Emerson,
Bamboo Arts Center’s founder.

Stories from
the Heart
T
he Sandcastle Storytellers, Inc.
will present “Stories from the
Heart” on Sunday, February 15
at 2:30 p.m. in the new Gate-
way Center for the Arts building
located at 330 North US 17/92 in
DeBary.
As part of the organization’s
commitment to serving the com-
munity, the storytellers offer their time and talent to help raise funds to support the
Gateway Center for the Arts. The stories are chosen and presented for adult listeners
and children who are old enough to listen like adults.
The Sandcastle Storytellers have supported the Gateway Center during several
of their fund-raising events over the years including the youth Celebration of the
Arts and the Halloween Haunted House. Jeanne Menter, one of the founding mem-
bers of the organization, says, “If you would like to give a special Valentine’s treat
to that special someone, buy a couple of tickets and come to the show. I know you
will not be disappointed.”
Tickets are $10 at the door on performance day. Advance sales are available at the
Center for $8 and from Gateway Art League Members for $6. For more information
