Elizabeth Raub, owner of Vivi & Kate, offers these styling tips:

Accentuate the positive and downplay the perceived negative. A smooth waistband eliminates bulk and helps streamline the waist. Look for new fabrics engineered to drape perfectly, holding their shape and ours.

Cozy and soft pieces from both Comfy and Capote are an es- sential for every woman’s closet. “We also have some terrific

Jewelry and accessories include new Brighton designs for fall as well as the latest from local jewelry line Currie Jewelry, which earned a national following after being featured in Real Simple magazine. “The designer’s work really is amaz- ing—simple, elegant, unique—

and people are drawn to her pieces,” says Raub. “Plus she’s always coming up with some- thing new.”

“When I shop at Vivi & Kate,” says Jody Millis, another happy customer, “it’s like visiting a friend. Elizabeth knows her clothing and how to put pieces together that work for me. It’s her personal service that makes me feel special. She tells me if something’s not right for me, as well as when it looks good. She carries clothing brands I won’t see at the department stores in town—clothing that’s stylish and well made!” 2
