OREGON® FEATURES – SAW CHAIN LubriLink™ is a strategically placed cavity in saw chain tie straps that acts as an oil reservoir.
Lubricant is captured and held in the LubriLink™ reservoir.
Oil is available to flow freely into saw chain parts. This additional positive lubrication increases saw chain and guide bar life.
LubriLink™ strengthens the saw chain tie straps by reducing their tendency to flex during operation, making the saw chain more stable and less susceptible to premature failure.
LubriWell® helps transport oil around the entire length of the guide bar — and holds oil in the high-friction zone where the saw chain and guide bar groove walls make contact.
Oil is carried around the entire length of the guide bar.
Lubricant is held in the LubriWell® holes, reducing friction during the start-up period before the saw’s oiling system reaches its peak function.
Lubrication is improved around the guide bar’s tip, especially important on sprocket nose bars.
The saw chain’s overall weight is reduced, so less power is required from the saw’s engine and less effort is required from the operator.
To combat the effects of “vibration-induced white finger,” OREGON® created Vibe-Ban®, a small space between the saw chain and the guide bar to let the saw chain act like a shock absorber. Much of the energy is dissipated by the saw chain, so it never even reaches the guide bar, the saw — or most importantly — the operator.
Lower vibration levels offer increased comfort. Vibration levels are reduced by 25% or more.
These marks indicate the optimum top-plate angle and are used as an aid to facilitate accurate saw chain sharpening.
Facilitates filing of the correct top-plate filing angle.
Helps maintain equal cutter lengths.
Allows easier and more accurate sharpening. Indicates when cutters reach the end of their life as cutters should not be sharpened beyond the Witness Mark™ line.
