On the par-4 16th, it’s again time
for full launch. Playing as long as 493 yards from the tips and as short as 285 yards from the forward tees, the tee shot is all downhill to a landing area guarded only by a massive rock formation that sits in the middle of the fairway around 100 yards from the green. Call the rock, which looks like a recliner for a giant, the ‘Golden Bear’s Throne.’ Last but not least, it’s on to both the par-4 17th and closing par-4 18th, where the green seemingly blends naturally into the beach.
