Ultrafast Seed Diodes


QD Laser’s DFB and DFB/SOA laser diodes are ideal seeds for ultrafast lasers offering pulse widths from 15ps to 1ns when operated in gain-switched mode and 1ns to 9ns under direct modulation.


Available from 1030nm to 1240nm the diodes are supplied in telecoms qualified 14-pin butterfly and 7-pin high speed SMPM RF packages.


The lasers are rated from 30 to 100mW CW with peak outputs in excess of 100mW when operated in gain-switched mode and over 400mW peak under nanosecond direct modulation.
