PRODUCT UPDATE CONTROL & GUIDANCE
LASERS Videojet 7230 and 7330
Videojet Technologies has upgraded its existing range of fibre laser marking systems with the introduction of the Videojet 7230 and 7330 models. Available with 10 and 20W of output power
respectively, the Videojet 7230 and 7330 fibre lasers can produce codes with a high level contrast on parts, consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical products made from robust, high-density materials. Marking speeds can reach up to 2,000 characters per second, depending on the application. Users can select either a 6mm marking
head for high-speed production or a 10mm marking head for parts marking with fine detail, offering flexibility and application confidence for marking on various product shapes and sizes. Both the 7230 and 7330
Satsuma Display
Amplitude has released the Satsuma Display, a compact, air-cooled femtosecond laser built on Amplitude’s existing Satsuma platform. The laser offers four
different wavelengths: IR, green, UV and DUV, enabling the quality of ablation to be optimised for a range of materials, including metals, p-Si, ITO,
SOFTWARE Fasttrim CAD/CAM
Prima Power Laserdyne’s new Fasttrim CAD/ CAM software can be used with its multi-axis precision laser processing systems. The Fasttrim all-in-one software enables users to model parts, define process paths, define feature locations and build part fixtures. It offers a complete program for 2D and 3D laser welding, drilling and cutting applications. Fasttrim supports the Laserdyne 795,
Laserdyne 430 and Laserdyne 606D systems. Users can take full advantage of the capabilities in these systems, including welding, percussion drilling, hole trepanning and cutting using QCW and CW lasers. The software offers full part simulation with collision detection, allowing the programmer
BasiCube 14
to eliminate potential issues before sending the program to the manufacturing floor. Auto programming functions are also included to automatically program the part based on the geometry of the model. Up to six axes can be supported simultaneously, and the software also provides the ability to modify tool paths through sheet offset, cutter offsets and axis translations.
