K-Music (2nd Oct – 20th Nov) festival brings Korean music to London venues with a line-up including Ensemble E- Do, Ahn Sook-Sun, Near East Quartet, Kyungso Park among many


more. K-Music’s Director Hoseong Yong says “The 2018 K-Music Festival is a truly international celebration of Korean music. From the 2nd October until 20th November, the festival will present a very


special line-up of some of the most talented musicians around, including Ahn Sook-Sun, the country’s most esteemed singer of pansori, Korea’s traditional opera. Ahn composed the music to Trojan Women, LIFT’s opening sell-out show at Southbank Centre earlier this year. Returning to London, and in what will be a first for London audiences, Ahn will perform Heungbo-ga in its entirety, a pansori that lasts for almost three hours.

This year WOMEX (24th – 28th Oct) heads to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music, including concerts, conferences and documentary films.
