endy Hennessy and Karen Thompson are spearheading the SMTA’s


drive to bring you, our members, the best possible events and communications channels to maximise your membership. Wendy started her career in local and regional press before moving on to specialise in working with clients in the automotive sector as an account manager with a busy advertising agency.


The last nine years of Wendy’s career has been with an automotive membership organisation and in March


this year she joined the team here at SMTA. Wendy is taking responsibility for the sponsorship of events as well as helping our customers with advertising options and finding the best solutions both in print and on our online platforms. Wendy said “I am really happy to be a part of SMTA and looking forward to talking to customers about the new opportunities we are developing.” Karen is our Events & Media Manager and has been with SMTA for 14 years, starting as personal assistant then moving on to a communications and events role. Karen said “Our events and


media are an integral part of SMTA, whether it’s MoT seminars or black-tie dinners it’s all about providing a platform for our members to find out the latest information, meet other people within the industry or find out how SMTA can support and help your business.”
