Ingredients for Business & Property Protection’, took place on Thursday 20 February. While the focus of fire legislation is – quite correctly – to preserve life, recent fires in apartments, care homes and hotels have resulted in the complete destruction of the building. The webinar featured examples which highlighted the fact that regulations offer little towards preserving our largest financial investment in life – property. Industry experts outlined key factors that impact the procurement process of a building – and ultimately life safety and long term property protection. Attendees learned that giving these factors full attention can greatly benefit occupant safety and building security. FPA principal consultant Howard Passey was chair, while FPA technical director Dr Jim Glockling discussed resilience basics and the challenges faced today regarding property protection.
