Appointed to the Hackitt Review, she is an expert witness for the Grenfell inquiry and was also appointed by the government’s chief scientifi c advisor to the Scientifi c Advisory Group, where she oversees investigation of contamination and adverse health effects post Grenfell. Anna leads a Fire Brigades Union project to identify the causes of fi refi ghter cancers and in 2019 presented crucial evidence to parliament’s environmental audit committee.
