Member update

Liz Barnwell, membership manager at the FPA, gives an update with the latest member news

AS WE enter the summer holiday period, it’s encouraging to see that quarantine restrictions, are being lifted. Whilst we’re still a long way off returning to normal, I do hope that members manage to take some well deserved time off over the summer, as the pandemic has made it a stressful start to the year for all of us.

Online member event

You will be aware that the FPA usually holds member networking events throughout the year, but that unfortunately this is not currently possible. We appreciate that these events provide a valuable opportunity for members to pose questions to experts and network with fellow members. In light of this, we hosted our first ever online

members’ event – a Q&A session with FPA director of operations and principal consultant

Howard Passey and senior trainer Alan Emms. It was pleasing to see so many members register, and they had the opportunity to put fire safety related questions to our panel.
