Member update

Liz Barnwell, membership manager at the FPA, gives an update with the latest member news Data cleansing

WITH THE rapid spread of coronavirus across the world causing an uncertain few weeks or months to come, we send our best wishes to all our members, and hope that they and their families stay healthy throughout the rocky period ahead. We also hope that the impact on your job or business is minimal.

Member networking event

It will come as no surprise that, given the current coronavirus situation with its emphasis on social distancing, we have regrettably had to take the decision to postpone the next member networking event, which was due to have taken place at FIREX in May. As you may already know, FIREX has been rearranged to 8 to 10 September, so we’ll ensure that we keep you updated when we are in a position to make a further announcement.

We would like to thank all our members for their cooperation with the data cleansing exercise we’ve been conducting recently. You’ve probably received a phone call, email or letter from us in the past few weeks to check that all the information we hold about your membership is accurate and up to date. The reason for us carrying this out is that

we are currently upgrading to a new customer relationship management (CRM) system, and launching a new website in the summer. Ensuring the accuracy of the information we hold on our members is a key priority. In addition, by gaining a picture of the topics you’re interested in, this will enable us to send you more relevant information in the future.
