Stand J42 Trime UK will be showcasing its zero- emissions X-BATTERY and X-CHAIN site lighting towers. Trime’s popular X-ECO LED lighting set will also be on display.

Trime report the X-BATTERY was used at festivals throughout 2018 and over two hundred X-CHAIN sets were purchased by a leading rental organisation.

In addition, the company will also be launching the innovative X-BOOT footwear cleaning module – a product featuring a unique recycling water system. Using a similar technique that made the X-SPLASH such a successful product, the X-BOOT wash system has been made to recycle 100% of the water used. Its clever design enables a site to utilise the same water many times, as the X-BOOT’s fi ltration system collects the soil and mud for easy disposal via a removable textile bag.

The X-BOOT’s origins

The initial spark of inspiration to innovate comes in many diff erent forms. In the case of the X-BOOT, it was from an irate offi ce cleaning lady berating a site manager that “muddy boots were mucking up her clean fl oors”.

Paul Hay Trime UK’s Managing Director, said: “We had just fi nished a demonstration of one of our lighting towers on a construction site and we were heading back to the site offi ces. As we approached

the front door we saw a lady with a mop in hand complaining bitterly that the boot brushes fi xed at the door entrance were not substantial enough to clean the site workers’ boots.”

Recycling

The X-BOOT had been made to collect up to 1000kg of dirt, mud and other contaminates, saving over 20,000 litres of water per week. Seven people can use the X-BOOT at any given time, using the handy cleaning brushes to ensure footwear is properly cleaned. The X-BOOT operates from safe 110v and can be positioned using a forklift truck or telehandler. It can be set up for use within a matter of moments.

Paul added: “With water usage and the appropriate disposal of contaminants being a serious issue, we believe that the use of our X-BOOT will eliminate drainage issues and severely reduce the amount of water used on site.”

The X-BOOT is currently available for demonstration in the UK and Trime have already had keen interest, particularly from leading construction hire firms.

Trime has significant experience in producing energy and water saving products for the UK construction rental markets. Their X-SPLASH Wash Bay has recently been given a Green Apple Award by the Green Organisation.
