EDITORIAL VIEWPOINT by RICHARD HOLLIS editor toolbusinessandhire.co.uk

THERE’S no rest for the wicked! With the new year in full swing, the UK tool industry barely pauses for breath before diving head fi rst into expo season.

At the time of writing, we are getting ready to attend Toolfair’s fi rst event of the year at London’s Alexandra Palace. Following this, of course, is the unmissable Executive Hire Show at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena. Not only are these events key for everyone to set up their business for the coming year, but for me they are also a chance to meet as many of you as I can in my new role.

www.toolbusiness.co.uk @ToolBUSINESS

In preparation, we are continuing our Executive Hire Show 2019 preview with one more look at just a few of the key names and clever innovations you will fi nd there.

In addition, we were also kindly invited to attend a launch event from Toolbank to view some new ranges which have been added to their iconic Big Blue Book catalogue. You can fi nd Peter Brett’s report on these innovative ranges inside.

With so many new products vying for our attention, it is also worth taking a moment to consider those trusty, favourite tools which have stood the test of time. That’s why, you will also fi nd inside two experienced tradesmen share their top 10 favourite tools they couldn’t bear to be without.

I hope you enjoy reading this magazine, and don’t forget to take a moment to check out our website at www. toolbusiness.co.uk
