HIGH-SPEED, HIGH-ACCURACY RF POWER MEASUREMENTS
The NRP67S and NRP67SN power sensors from Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) introduce a frequency range unprecedented in a diode power sensor, reaching from 50 MHz up to 67 GHz. Combined with the
advantages of the unique Rohde & Schwarz three-path diode technology, a wide dynamic range from -70dBm to 20dBm, and a high measurement speed of 10,000 measurements a second, users benefit from extremely fast power measurements with unsurpassed accuracy and dynamic range previously not possible at these frequencies.

4-SLOT PXI EXPRESS FOR TEST & MEASUREMENT
❱❱ Three-path diode power sensors for accurate power measurement
With the latest WiFi and
Wireless HD standards operating above 57GHz now supported, as well as practically all other wireless communication technologies in use, the R&S NRP67S/SN is a near universal tool for wireless infrastructure power measurements. Due to their portable format,
all R&S NRPxxS power sensors are ideal for installation, maintenance or monitoring applications, both locally and remotely. They can be used when
connected to an R&S NRX power meter as well as signal generators and analysers, or a PC with the R&S NRPV virtual power meter software installed. In addition, the R&S NRPxxSN includes an Ethernet interface to support remote operation via a LAN. The devices support the industry standard USBTMC protocol, making integration into test systems easy.
The PXES-2314T is a new generation PXI Express chassis with versatile, high bandwidth Thunderbolt 3 interfaces recently introduced by ADLINK Technology. The new test and measurement platform provides the performance and flexibility of PXI Express but in a portable system, requiring only a small chassis, a notebook PC with Thunderbolt 3 ports and whatever peripheral modules are required for the test application.
According to Tim Juan of ADLINK, the dual Thunderbolt 3 ports are an important evolution for easing test system connectivity. “Previously, a typical PXI bridge setup required a desktop expansion card, chassis module, and connecting cable, severely limiting portability,” he said. “The greater versatility of this new platform makes a broader range of more flexible and mobile test and measurement applications possible.”
The 4-slot PXES-2314T can be
used for performing highly accurate mobile quality control testing in the production line or for R&D tests and experiments that can be performed more flexibly and cost-effectively, without requiring investments in older, more cumbersome and expensive PXIe systems. The new chassis also supports applications in field troubleshooting, hands-on demos and training in a range of environments.
SERVO-HYDRAULIC FATIGUE TESTING
Zwick Roell is supplying its HA and HB servo-hydraulic testing machines for high-performance fatigue testing on a range of materials and components. The machines are available
from 50kN to 2,500kN and use testControl II measurement and control electronics, which enables them to handle demanding test conditions. Standard-compliant testing is made easy by the range of test software available. The HA range consists of a
servo-hydraulic testing machine with a single testing actuator
mounted in the lower crosshead. It is particularly suitable for determining material properties under cyclic loading or fatigue tests. Tests can be carried out in
accordance with all established standards, including DIN 50100, ASTM E466 (metallic materials) and EN 15630 (concrete- reinforcing steel). HA servo-hydraulic testing machines are available in various versions to test loads from 50kN to 500kN. The HB range has the testing actuator mounted on the upper
crosshead. Dynamic testing machines in the HB range are available in various versions for test loads from 50kN to 2,500kN. Both ranges are equipped
with testControl II measurement and control electronics. TestControl II’s control frequency of 10kHz ensures rapid reaction to events during tests combined with a high measured-value acquisition- rate, while the testXpert II testing software offers a range of different programs for standard-compliant test performance.
