tial system with top-of-the-line performance. With their com- pact design and low power consumption, the Kernel IMUs easily integrate in a wide range of higher order systems while con- suming very little space and power. With continu- ous built-in test (BIT), config- urable commu- nications protocols , electromag- netic interfer- ence (EMI) protection and flexible input power require- ments, the Kernel-110, 120, 210 and 220 are built to be used in a wide variety of environments and integrated system appli- cations. They have been thoroughly tested to per- form in large variations in temperature, high-vibration and shock. Designed to be used in air, marine and land envi- ronments, the Kernel series can be in- tegrated into motion reference units (MRU), attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS), and GPS-aided inertial navigation sys- tems (INS). As a result, the Kernel IMUs are ideal for a wide variety of applications such as autonomous ve- hicles, antenna and line-of-sight stabilisation sys- tems, as well as buoy or boat motion monitoring. “The new Kernel IMUs represent the innova-
tive approach at Inertial Labs,” said Jamie Mar- raccini, president & CEO of Inertial Labs. “The high-performance and flexibility to integrate into different systems and applications is what we have striven to provide to our clients with the new Kernel IMU release.”

performance rugged mission computer
Embedded computer technology specialist, Kontron has released the the DARC VX208 high-per-
formance, rugged and secure SWaP-constrained mission computer system. The DARC VX208 is suitable for deployment in a wide range of harsh military and aerospace envi-
ronments, such as mission computing, command/control and electronic warfare. Ideal for radars and other high-definition video processing applications requiring high bandwidth to
transmit large data volumes, the DARC VX208 combines two Optical 10GbE ports with server-class process- ing and MIL-DTL38999 I/O performance. Its powerful graphics capabilities, with support for optional NVIDIA or AMD GPU modules, enable networked video streaming and processing including image fusion for real-time situa- tional awareness. For added convenience and security, the external SSD can be removed in less than 30 seconds and the multiple ex- pansion slots allow easy customisation of the platform interfaces. Alain Spors, general manager of Kontron France, says: “The
DARC VX208 system’s rugged, compact design and modular, open architecture makes it ideal as a flexible and powerful computer solution for integrators looking to deploy high- performance GPU-based technologies on-board SWaP- constrained vehicle and aircraft platforms. Furthermore, being designed and technically supported in France means
it is free of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restrictions.” Based on the low-power Intel Core i7-1185GRE quad-core processor, the fanless system’s fully sealed enclosure weighs less than 7kg and can operate over extended temperature ranges. It is certified to MIL-STD-1275E for its 28 VDC power supply, MIL-STD 810G for shock and vibration resistance and MIL-STD-461 F for electromagnetic compatibility.
