panish market reports show that property prices have continued a steady growth over the last four
years, with evidence that it is likely to continue at a sensible and sustainable rate. Helped by significant International demand, affordable house prices, a rise in investment from a variety of financial institutions and a flourishing Construction Industry. Spain was also reported as being one of the best countries for the cleanest and safest beaches in the world by the Association for Environmental Education and the Consumer (ADEAC). Also off-plan and new build properties are in very high demand again as they offer buyers some great off-plan discounts.

BREXIT NEWS Regardless of the media circus surrounding Brexit, British (UK) buyers remain the largest group of foreign buyers, followed by the French, Germans, Belgians and Scandinavians, all jostling for position behind them. As, let’s face it apart from the fluctuating currency markets and roller-coaster exchange rates, when you look at the facts, Brexit is unlikely to make much difference to UK buyers wanting a holiday home or residence in Spain. It has been well reported that most of the terms have already been agreed, except some more complicated issues such as Ireland’s border control and final trade agreements. Points like reciprocal expat stability and
health care are said to be already agreed in principle, as the Spanish also have over 100,000 people living in the UK. Obviously nothing is guaranteed until either a definitive or partial Brexit agreement is signed. Te UK Government are now having to make preparations just in case no deal is agreed, however, this is still unlikely as many in UK Parliament have made it clear they won’t allow a “no deal” Brexit to go ahead and an extension period to continue negotiations is currently being looked at. At the time of writing, there are even rumours that a second referendum on Brexit could still happen, as UK concerns grow over recent reports showing that Brexit is likely to put the UK into recession.
