Barratt Homes Community Fund donation gives Home Access £1,000 bonus

Home Access in Penarth has been given a £1,000 donation from the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes Community Fund. Te donation will be used by the charity in its work to help people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness with access to private accommodation in Penarth and the Vale. Te charity helps by issuing bond certificate guarantees and access to a range of services such as breakfast clubs, foodbank, money management courses and support for addictions. Te charity was set up in 1996 and housing support worker Jan Booker said, “we are pleased that this cheque for £1,000 will assist people in Penarth and the Vale who are vulnerable and homeless to access rented homes in the area. Home Access can offer ongoing support and advice throughout the persons tenancy with benefits, grant applications or any tenancy issues they may encounter.” Te Barratt and David Wilson Homes Community Fund donates £1,000 each month to a charity or organisation which improves the quality of life for those living in the region and commercial director David Kelland said Home Access was a worthy recipient of the funds. “Being able to support organisations like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. As the country’s largest housebuilder we are committed to creating a positive legacy and work closely with local communities.” In South Wales Barratt also supports Welsh children’s cancer

Three and four bedroom homes launched in Dinas Powys

Buyers in the region seeking spacious family homes are now spoilt for choice - thanks to the release of new three and four bedroom designs at Barratt Homes’ Scholars Park.

The five star housebuilder already offers an impressive selection of two bedrooms at its popular new development in Dinas Powys. And now it has launched a number of larger house types, with plenty of extra room to grow into.

“Each of these new homes is fantastic for anyone keen to spread out a little and enjoy a real feeling of space,” said sales director Richard Lawson. “And if they are moving up the property ladder, our part exchange scheme makes certain they can keep the excitement of the buying process - but do away with all of the stresses of selling their own property.”

New availability at Scholars Park includes the three bedroom Maidstone, Ennerdale and Collaton designs, priced from £257,500, £287,995 and £287,995 respectively, and the four bedroom Kingsley and Alderney homes, from £335,995 and £395,500.

“Scholars Park offers a wide selection of properties designed to suit a range of different lifestyles - but we’re expecting these newly-released three and four bedroom houses to be particularly popular among those wishing to move to this superb development,” added Richard. “And the location, here in Dinas Powys, offers the perfect balance between countryside and convenience - with all local amenities close by.

“Our team is looking forward to welcoming new buyers here over the coming weeks, and showing them all that these beautiful homes have to offer.” Scholars Park is set within an excellent location, near to award-winning schools, local shops, pubs and restaurants - but with scenic walks right from buyers’ doorsteps. For commuters, the A4232 and M4 are close, linking the development with surrounding towns and cities. And spectacular Welsh coastline is just a short drive away.
