Red Dragon Centre makes trio of key appointments to boost FUN

CARDIFF’S leading

entertainment venue, Te Red Dragon Centre, has made a trio of key appointments to help further boost fun across the venue. Te Red Dragon Centre launched a campaign in the New Year to appoint three lucky individuals under the age of 16 to experience an exciting day out at the Centre and experience what is on offer during Spring. Te three individuals will then work with the Centre’s manager to ensure everything is to the most enjoyable of standards. Zoe Tomas,5; Caitlin Rose Hamer, 8; and Sam Hennessy, 14, were the lucky three and have all been chosen as the Centre’s Mini Heads of Fun. Each youngster will now have the chance to experience a fun-filled day out. Caitlin will be celebrating her 9th birthday at the end of this month and will be treated to VIP birthday bowling and a delicious burger at Five Guys. Sam will have the chance to take his family to a screening at ODEON followed by

testing new ice cream burgers at Cadwaladers, while Zoe will have a fun-filled Easter day out with tickets to see Peter Rabbit 2: Te Runaway, enjoy a tasty meal at one of the Centre’s many restaurants and be one of the first to check out some of the Easter activities at the Centre. Speaking about why she wanted to become the Red Dragon Centre’s Mini Head of Fun, Zoe Tomas, who just turned five, said: “I love fun. I just want to have fun all the time! I have had awesome days at RDC already. I went to see Frozen 2 with Grandma and sang all day and had food at Bella Italia. I love food!” Emma Constantinou, Marketing

and Tenant

Liaison Manager at the Red Dragon Centre, said: “We are thrilled to appoint Caitlin, Sam and Zoe as our Centre’s Mini Heads of Fun. All of them showed real enthusiasm in their application forms and we are excited to have them experience their days at the Centre and give us their reviews.”

Walkies this way!

Cardiff’s biggest dog walk is back this MAY You can book your place for the waggiest dog walk around - as RSPCA Cymru announces the return of Big Walkies Live for 2020. An exciting new location in Cardiff has been chosen for this year’s mass-participation dog walk - with Roald Dahl Plass and the barrage in Cardiff Bay the focus of the animal welfare charity’s exclusive feel-good event, which will take place on Sunday 31 May. Once again it is expected that hundreds of poochie pals and their owners will attend this fantastic family fun event, with participants encouraged to raise money to help the RSPCA rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need. Walkers can arrive from 11am with the event starting at 12noon - with the 5.5k walk set across the scenic barrage and back. Attendees will also get the chance to enjoy the RSPCA’s fun-filled event village - this year based in the heart of Cardiff Bay at the Roald Dahl Plass - which will include street food, drink stalls, a host of activity stalls for all the family and live entertainment. Entry to the event is only £7.50 in advance and £10 on the day for adults - and £2.50 for children aged five to 15 - with it being £5 on the day. Dogs and under fives are free.

Tickets can now be purchased online - and with places limited – RSPCA Cymru strongly encourages dog lovers to sign up early. Event go-ers will get their hands on a whole lot of goodies including an exclusive t-shirt, doggy bandana, wristband, poo bag and more. It is hoped that Big Walkies Live 2020 will be an even "bigger, waggier and woofier” event than last year.
