THE BANGERS AND CHIPS EXPLOSION

Rudry Music Festival

It’s chaos at St Gertude’s Primary School. The pupils are on strike due to the lack of chips on the menu and head teacher Mr Mackintosh has reached the end of his tether. When two newly appointed cooks start to dish up chips for lunch every day Billy Baxter and his chipaholic friends can hardly believe their luck. But in the kitchen a sinister plot is brewing. Will the children find out in time? Will an unlikely hero emerge to save the school? Full of slapstick comedy and larger than life characters, this outrageously fun book by Brough Girling has been transformed into an amusing new stage play for young performers. The Bangers and Chips Explosion is performed by Sherman Youth Theatre participants aged 8 – 18 and directed by Sherman Theatre’s Communities and Engagement Co-ordinator Timothy Howe. At the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff from 25th-27th July. For more information visit www.shermantheatre.co.uk
