Tipped as one of Kerrang’s Stars of 2017, Louise Distras channels her anger, hopes and fears into anthems of love and fury for yet another let down generation. Widely praised as the “new face of British punk- rock”, her new single ‘Outside Of You’ tells a story of “fi ghting to be yourself in a world that wants you to be something you’re not”, says Louise. The track channels the heritage punk of The Clash and the Sex Pistols, pairing it with slick production and a decidedly modern bent. The Barry Leisure Centre in Greenwood Street is hosting the next Toy & Train Sale soon, on Sunday 26th November, between 10.20am and 3.00pm - this is the fi nal event of this type at this venue in 2017. There is also a further date booked on 21st January. The sister event, the Cardiff Toy & Train Sale, will continue to take place at Penarth Leisure Centre on a 3-monthly basis (the next show is on Saturday 6th January 2018) and a total of four dates are now booked at that venue for next year. These two Vale of Glamorgan shows very much compliment each other and both are very popular with the traders and with collectors. There is also an added bonus each August when the special annual and much-loved “one-off” show on the platforms at Barry Island Station takes place.
