Families looking for a fun place to go from January 2018 are in for an extra special treat – anyone taking The Royal Mint Experience factory tour will be able to strike their very own special Sir Isaac Newton 50 pence piece bearing a 2018 date mark – the only place that you will be able to fi nd one! The Royal Mint Experience provides a great opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover stories from The Royal Mint’s 1,100 year history. Visitors can see for themselves how coins are made, then tour through a series of walk-through interactive exhibition zones that bring the organisation’s rich heritage to life. Members of the public will have the opportunity to strike their 2018-dated Brilliant Uncirculated (mint condition) commemorative Sir Isaac Newton 50p coin for an additional charge after booking a Royal Mint Experience tour. The coin was designed by Royal Mint Designer, Aaron West, who was inspired by the scientifi c elements of Newton’s theories, this being the main focal point of the coin’s design.
