NEW HOMES • NEW DEVELOPMENTS Gaters snap up new home at Cardiff development

It was a family affair for one Cardiff couple as they moved across the Welsh capital to settle down at a Bellway development. Aſter their two children had flown the nest, Nicola and Ricky Gater, both 50, decided that it was the right time to downsize. And their son, Lewis, was part of the sales team that sold the Gaters their new home. Te couple moved from their large four-bedroom family home in Rhoose in Cardiff to a more manageable three- bedroom property at Bellway’s St Lythans Park development, off St Lythans Road. Nicola said: “We hadn’t initially thought about moving when we first visited St Lythans Park. Lewis was part of

the team

launching the development and we were there to support him at his first launch. "Tat's where the idea of downsizing first came to us, and aſter talking it through with the family we eventually decided to

view some of the homes and see if a move would benefit us. “Te whole team at St Lythans Park were

very supportive

and patient with our move – I couldn’t fault them. I’m not just saying that because Lewis

helped with our sale because, all bias aside, I think he did a fantastic job and was very assured with our needs. “I imagine it was quite a surreal experience for him. Admittedly, we were quite fussy and in the sales office a lot but that didn’t seem to faze him. We’re very proud of him.” Lewis has been on site since the development launched in 2015 and admitted that selling a home to his parents wasn’t the easiest task. Lewis said: “It was certainly one of the more bizarre sales I ever had to do. I felt that there was a lot of pressure on me because I wanted to make sure the home was absolutely perfect for them. “I had a hunch that they would be interested in the development

when it first launched. It’s well suited to downsizers and it’s in a good location in Cardiff, so when they turned up it must have sown the seeds for a move. “Tey were there to support me when the development launched, so it’s good to be able to support them moving in to a new home.” St Lythans Park is being built on the site of the former ITV Wales studio in Culverhouse Cross following the company’s move to its new studios by the Welsh National Assembly. Bellway is building 224 homes at the development, which range from two to five-bedrooms. For more information about St Lythans Park, call the sales team on 02920 592855 or visit www. bellway.co.uk.
