EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued

Eurogate takes the wheel

Visa adds new models

Italian diesel generator manufacturer, Visa, promoted its new VM models encompassing outputs of 30kVA to 300kVA, which have been developed for the hire industry in association with UK distributor, Sutton Power Engineering. Designed for low noise levels, the machines have Stage 3a compliant engines to enable users to comply with the latest emissions regulations, and are fitted with Stamford alternators and Deep Sea controllers. They also come with RFID tags to aid identification and stock inventories. Several large fuel tank access points are incorporated to facilitate period draining and cleaning, and the machines have 50Hz/60Hz switching capability.

Eurogate International, an independent sales organisation, launched the CTS12 two-wheeled trolley for electric breakers. Described by its American maker, General Equipment, as the Rip-R-Stripper, it carries a 16kg class proprietary electric breaker to more conveniently remove ceramic tiles and hardwood flooring materials. The manufacturer says the CTS12 can accept several popular breaker brands, and its design allows the operator to work in a more comfortable, upright position. Another interesting American product on show was is the TireSocks range of tyre covers. These come in a range of sizes for machines such as wheeled access platforms and telescopic handlers to prevent floors from being marked during indoor work. Constructed from heavy-duty ballistic nylon, they are secured by a ‘bungee’ cord and are designed to be self-centring on the wheels as the machine is driven along.

Actavo, formerly Deborah Services, chose the Show to raise awareness of its new brand amongst hirers, and its eye-catching stand in the Top Tier certainly stood out. “We have seen all our major customers here and the response has been very positive,” said Matt Croft, National Accounts Manager. “Hirers have been impressed by our new Trenchlink road plate, and by the range of services that we offer, including fencing and barriers, groundwork equipment like trench struts and shore props, access equipment and our

More from MultiOne

The Italian range of MultiOne compact wheel loaders has gained more impetus in this country following the appointment of Ranger Equipment last year as the main UK and Ireland importer. Also aiding sales potential is the introduction of improved machines and larger units. At the Show, the new MultiOne UK trading division of Ranger displayed the latest 7 series M1 7.3+ articulated wheel loader. Powered by a Yanmar engine, the multi-purpose tool carrier weighs 1670kg and has a maximum lift capacity of 1550kg. Ranger MD Steve Hadfield says MultiOne plans to launch more new models later this year.

interlocking Trenchlink plates are designed to quickly secure a trench for the passage of pedestrians and vehicles. They require no anchoring while a work team is on site, doing away with the need for temporary tar, Actavo says.
