New to the Harrington Generators International (HGI) line-up is the HRH range of six hybrid machines for silent operation, offering 16kVA to 30kVA of continuous power and 50kVA to 60kVA peak output. They have the same ‘rental specification’ canopies as are fitted to conventional units for low noise and protection against water ingress. The batteries can be charged via mains power or a generator and can be connected to solar panels and wind turbines. Also new are the SKD60i and SKD 100i diesel dual voltage generators offering 6kVA and 10kVA, and the petrol powered HRP24 and HRP28 models, with respective outputs of 3kVA and 3.5kVA and available as 110V or dual voltage versions.

Fairport reveals new mixer

Fairport previewed a new tip-up mixer. Scheduled to become available in three months, the electric (110V or 240V) machine has a drum capacity of 130 litres. It has bolt-on paddles inside the drum for easy replacement and a four-point stand for stability. The machine has long side frames to protect against site damage and to act as handles, to allow tipping to be achieved with the operator’s hands at a more comfortable level.

Designed to address an important Health & Safety issue, the Big Ben braked pulley from Addex is an alternative to traditional gin wheels. The product was judged to finish third in the Innovation Trail. It has a 50kg load capacity, and, if the operator lets go of the rope, the load is arrested and lowered to the ground at a rate of 1.5m per second. The descent is stopped if the rope is touched lightly. The product is designed for easy maintenance and to withstand harsh environments. It can be used with any 16mm to 18mm braided rope,

or 18mm twisted polypropylene rope, with a breaking strain of 1000kg. 01432 416000 www.addex-group.com

Camon stump grinder impresses

Tracmaster has launched the Camon SG30 stump grinder, which was displayed as a prototype to invite feedback at last year’s Show. It can deal with stumps that are protruding up to 56cm above ground and down to 33cm below. The machine is only 62cm wide to facilitate access to gardens with restricted access. “We have taken orders for the SG30 here at the Show. Hirers definitely see this exhibition as the best place to see the latest products available on the market, and to do business,” MD Alex Pitt told EHN.
