That did not end with his Mini Transat victory, and Waksman was soon heading to the airport to fly home and start to earn some money again to pay his debts

CARLOS MANERA (ESP) The Spanish skipper’s strong performance in this year’s Mini Transat took many by surprise. Everyone who knew him was aware of his sailing
skill but Manera’s Manuard design, with its two sets of contrasting boards and foils, was regarded as a great experiment with an eye to the future.
