Forbo Flooring Systems has launched a new collection, Fast Fit, encompassing a range of its adhesive-free flooring solutions, all developed to reduce downtime by up to 2.5 days, based on a 100sq m installation. The range consists of Forbo’s loose-lay solutions, including its entrance flooring system, Coral Click; luxury vinyl tile collections, Allura Puzzle, Allura Click, and Allura Colour Plus; and vinyl sheet range, Modul’up. As products require no adhesive, there is less dust and mess during installation and end users will not be exposed to aromatics and VOCs. The floor is also ready for use immediately after installation and products are easy to remove and recycle at the end of their life.

BeaconMedaes exhibits products at Healthcare Estates
BeaconMedaes will be demonstrating key products, and launching new ranges, at this year’s Healthcare Estates exhibition. The new medical air plant dryer will be showcased, with updated controls as well as a simplified filtration layout. The vastly-reduced footprint, coupled with the footprint reductions offered with Atlas Copco VSD+ compressors, will enable upgrading of old obsolete plant using the same space constraints. And dedicated oil-free dryers will also be launched to couple with class-leading oil-free air solutions using Atlas Copco scroll or tooth compressors. The new personal nurse call button from Pinpoint
The new WristPIT from Pinpoint is a bespoke personal infrared patient call transmitter designed to be worn on the wrist. Enabling patients to activate a call even if they are away from their bed or a fixed call point; the device is water resistant and incorporates antimicrobial product protection. It is also recessed and surrounded by a bump guard to prevent false alarms; and is backward compatible and easily integrated into existing Pinpoint Systems. A green LED indicates the WristPIT is ‘activated’ with good battery level and it has been designed to withstand harsh environments and user tampering, meaning it is suitable for mental health units..

New textile diffuser panels improve interior climate
New from KE Fibertec is a textile diffuser for suspended ceiling systems. The FBS panels have been developed to provide draught-free air distribution for suspended ceilings and a better alternative solution to the normal ceiling grilles which generate draughts and accumulate dust. The system operates at a lower pressure than that of standard ceiling diffusers thus optimising energy efficiency; and fresh air is evenly distributed across the entire surface of the panel, resulting in a healthy indoor environment without draughts. Materials can also be specified in standard colours of white or light grey to blend with the ceiling finish or in a range of special colours to make a statement.

A new purpose-built operating theatre has been completed to offer a world-class training and demonstration base for new and existing customers to experience Bender UK technology first-hand. The facility showcases theatre and clinical equipment offered by the company as part of its turnkey healthcare solutions for new- build and hospital upgrade programmes. And it is connected to a plant room with medical IT power systems (IPS) and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to replicate power for group 2 medical locations, simulating shut-down events. High-specification equipment on display includes Merivaara surgical lights, new clinical pendants, touch-screen theatre control panels, vertical and horizontal aluminium bedhead trunking, AV and
video routing system from Jones AV, and multiple display screens and monitors from Barco.
